We are proud to be based at Shobdon Airfield in the beautiful county of Herefordshire. With low population density, amazing views and superb road and rail links, Shobdon is the perfect place to learn to fly. We have a selection of fully equipped static caravans if you wish to stay here during your training and the café is open 7 days a week, serving hearty home-cooked food.
There are three runways; two grass and one tarmac, and a fully staffed control tower. These facilities and an active Aero Club makes Shobdon the ideal place to learn to fly a microlight and there is also a Gliding Club at Shobdon.
There are local pubs and restaurants in and around Shobdon, as well as places of interest in the locality – see here.
Come and pay us a visit and we’ll be happy to talk you through the various options over a cup of tea or coffee. Browse the information presented on this website and if you have any questions, we’ll be pleased to clarify them for you.
