A great advantage of microlight training at Shobdon Airfield is the availability of on site accommodation. At Shobdon there are several large and spacious static caravans that can be rented for any period from one night to a year at a time.
If you enrol for a course or air time package, we can arrange the accommodation for you and it will be included in the course fee (where indicated). Otherwise, the caravans are available for £40/night and sleep up to 6 persons, so you can bring the family with you. There is a comprehensive village store, children’s playground and pub (that serves food) all within walking distance. You really can have a proper family holiday (with some flying) at Shobdon. Please note, however, that we cannot accommodate pets at the Airfield.
The airfield café is open 7 days a week, and the airfield bar is open Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings.
